Out-of-state plates may mean a $30 parking fee at participating Massachusetts riding areas; the fee is separate from OHV registration and trail access rules.

A Massachusetts OHV sticker registers the machine, but it does not pay DCR parking or campsite fees; check each forest’s access rules before you tow.

Massachusetts off-highway vehicle registration stickers do not guarantee trail access, parking permissions, or private property entry.

Visiting riders apply through Massachusetts Environmental Police; an out-of-state sticker is not valid, and the registration is not a trail pass.

Visitors riding ATVs or UTVs in Massachusetts need the state’s own registration; a home-state sticker does not replace it or grant trail access.

Booking an OHV course off the Massachusetts state schedule means confirming approved alternatives, course requirements, age rules, and certificate validity.

Massachusetts requires a parent to attend the OHV safety course with students under 16. Know what to expect, how to prepare, and what follows the class.

Getting the Massachusetts OHV certificate after both course parts means confirming completion, checking the record, and carrying the certificate when required.

The Massachusetts OHV classroom fee may not appear beside course dates. Confirm charges, payment timing, and what the in-person session includes before booking.
